We are a premier, nationally-recognized Japanese-style spa with an opening in our Guest Services department. Previous customer service and computer experience are preferred. Jobs in Guest Services can encompass multiple tasks including check-ins/outs, reservations, and guest orientations. The ideal candidate will communicate well, be a problem-solver, pay attention to detail, enjoy teamwork, and be dependable, punctual, and trustworthy. Ten Thousand Waves is open seven days a week, 365 days a year for approximately 12 hours a day. Ten Thousand Waves’ Japanese restaurant, izanami, is in need of a part-time (20-25 hours per week) Assistant Controller who enjoys doing both the menial and higher-level tasks in accounting; in other words, someone who can independently perform the accounting function for a restaurant business with fifty employees. This position includes handling accounts payable and payroll, processing credit card charges and doing journal entries. It requires excellent Excel and Quickbooks experience, familiarity with POS systems and Evolution as well as previous restaurant accounting experience. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, but have the flexibility to modify his/her procedures to meet the major goals of management. Obvious personal qualities include dependability, punctuality and trustworthiness. Our restaurant is open approximately ten hours a day, seven days a week. Work days and hours can vary. Salary: Hourly rate commensurate with experience

This position is 40 hours per week. Wednesday and Thursday night shifts are required. Other requirements include basic maintenance experience (electrical and/or plumbing) and the ability to work independently. Experience with any of the following is preferred; hot tubs, pools, gardening, and landscaping. Job duties include performing maintenance repairs, testing tub chemistry, making chemical adjustments, tub opening, changing and cleaning filters, cleaning hot tubs, facility clean-up, and snow removal in winter. Must be able to frequently walk up and down stairs and over uneven terrain, and be able to lift 75 lbs. Other important traits: arrives on-time to work, follows instructions well, focuses on detail, pleasant attitude, keeps supervisors informed of status of work, team-oriented, dependable, and trustworthy. Background and credit check will be conducted and must be agreed upon by final applicants.
