Due to its natural beauty, the energy of the geography, and its liberal culture, Santa Fe has always been a hotbed of alternative healing. There are more bodyworkers per capita here than anywhere else in America. Ten Thousand Waves is fortunate in being able to draw from such a huge resource. Of all the wonderful therapists available, we choose only the most professional and caring. We then train them in all the subtleties: draping, communication, balancing all parts of the body, and how to send you gently back to the world.
We don't have a Chinese menu of massage options (we are a Japanese spa, after all), but have chosen to offer you just a few, very distinct choices which have been honed to achieve certain results.
Massage at the Waves is done in three environments:
- Private Rooms
Just you and your therapist.
- Double Rooms
Two tables and two therapists, for you and a friend or partner.
- Pagodas
The ultimate massage venue-free-standing structures with spectacular views of the mountains. Masters Massage, Thai Massage, and Four Hands, One Heart are done in these rooms.
